A Personal Address from Lady Ava

For thirty five years, I have lived with pain that most would not tolerate for thirty five days.

Extreme cramps. Heavy bleeding. Flooding that dictated movement and control. Fatigue that settled deep into bone. More time off university and then employment than I would've liked.

And still, I showed up. Made adjustments. Got a first degree. Raised two boys - mostly on My own. Built three thriving businesses.

Month after month. Year after year. Session after session. Creation after creation.

I carried it quietly. I mastered it. I refused to let biology weaken my authority.

Now, at 46, I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis, endometriosis, ovarian cysts and significant thickening of the uterine lining.

Adenomyosis does not resolve. It progresses. And the only cure is hysterectomy.

After decades of endurance, I have reached an unavoidable catalyst. I will be undergoing keyhole surgery to remove my uterus and finally bring an end to the condition that has shaped so much of my adult life.

This is not weakness.

This is leadership over my own body.

The Truth Beneath the Strength

I am still working. I am still training. I am still creating at the standard you expect.

But the fatigue is constant.

It is hormonal. It is systemic. It is not mindset. It is not discipline.

I take exceptional care of myself. I maintain my gym routine. I manage my nutrition. I show up with composure and command. But the reality is that for a period of time following surgery, my capacity to work will be reduced.

And when you are self-employed, reduced capacity has real consequences.

Recovery will be temporary. The impact of doing it properly will be permanent.

For the first time in a very long time, I am allowing support.
